Filming is underway for season 4 of the Starz prestige drama Power. Entertainment Weekly’s Nina Terrero has a first look at images and early storylines from the much anticipated upcoming season. When we last saw Ghost he was being arrested and hauled out of Truth by his ex, Angela Valdez and her colleague “Black Donovan.” That’s to say nothing about his son being held for ransom by Kanan and Jukebox, which he doesn’t know yet at the end of season 3. Ghost is suspected of having killed special agent Greg Knox and while we know he didn’t do it, this still seems like a difficult situation for Ghost. Angela is out for blood and will not rest until she puts him away. Her wrath is particularly vindictive because she is also a women scorned. Hell hath no fury and all that. How will Proctor and Ghost build their case to prove his innocence without opening him up to a series of other illegal activities? Now that Angela has no allegiance to Ghost, who can protect him from the inside? There also appears to be a new state’s attorney played by Sung Kang, who is presumably clean and will only be after a conviction. What if he uncovers the tangled web of lies and deceit? Speaking of scorned women it looks like Tasha, the ultimate ride or die chick, is still by Ghost’s side. At least in the upcoming season’s court and prison scenes. I asked Power showrunner Courtney Kemp if season 4 will be Naturi Naughton’s Emmy reel. Given that Ghost is in jail and her son is being held for ransom. Kemp said: "So far the Emmys have not noticed the show. I would like to say yes to your question, but that may not be our journey." I hope the Emmy’s do recognize the great work being done by Kemp and the actors on this terrific television show. In the meantime Power fans check out video below from behind the scenes of season 4. Power returns to Starz Summer 2017.
